Charlton's U21s claimed an impressive 3-2 win at AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday afternoon.

Ollie Hobden was at the double for the young Addicks as they came from behind to triumph on the south coast, with Henry Rylah adding Charlton's third with 20 minutes.

The hosts who edged in front early on as Koby Mottoh was slotted through on goal. The forward made no mistake, coolly converting with a neat finish through Tommy Reid's legs.

Chris Lock’s side responded in fine fashion, netting the equaliser moments after the restart as Toby Bower’s corner was met by Hobden who headed home his first of the afternoon.

The full-back claimed his brace on the cusp of the interval as he capitalised on a mistake by Bournemouth’s goalkeeper. A cross was palmed as far as Hobden, who thundered the follow up into the roof of the net from close range.

The Cherries restored parity on 68 minutes when an initial clearance was charged down by Remy Rees-Dottin, who lifted his strike over Reid.

The young Addicks responded instantly once again, this time through Rylah. The winger’s first effort cannoned off the post, but the rebound fell back into his path and he applied a routine finish to seal all three points.

The U21s return to Princes Park on Tuesday night when they host Birmingham City in the Premier League Cup (KO 7pm GMT).
