Charlton’s U18s concluded their regular league campaign with a 5-3 victory at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

Kai Enslin and Jadon Yamoah both bagged braces at Poolfoot Farm, with substitute Raynon Richman rounding off the scoring for Jason Pearce’s team, who are now unbeaten in 12 matches, 11 of which have been wins.

It took just three minutes for Enslin to open the scoring with a sensational solo goal. The winger capitalised on a loose touch to pick up possession 10 yards inside his own half and coolly beat two Fleetwood defenders as he drove towards the 18-yard box before sending a left-footed effort into the bottom-right corner.

Enslin turned provider just five minutes later, exchanging a neat one-two with Micah Mbick before crossing for Yamoah to double the young Addicks’ advantage.

Enslin and Mbick played another devastating one-two on the quarter-hour mark, allowing the former to race into the box and fire into the bottom-right corner once more.

The hosts pulled a goal back on 37 minutes through Harry Elmore, who squeezed a left-footed shot beyond Lennon MacLorg.

Yamoah restored Charlton’s three-goal lead eight minutes after the restart, converting Richman’s centre from close range.

Fleetwood netted their second on the hour-mark, when Jack Doherty bundled home a free-kick.

Doherty then converted his second and the hosts’ third on 75 minutes to make it 4-3.

Richman added the young Addicks’ fifth on 82 minutes, racing onto goalkeeper Jude Sadler’s long ball forward, driving into the penalty area and smashing an unstoppable angled strike into the roof of the net.

Pearce’s side now turn their attention to Saturday’s Professional Development League play-off semi-final against Barnsley at Sparrows Lane (KO 2pm BST).
