Young Greenwich has appointed 23-year old singer/songwriter Autumn Sherif, as the new ambassador for the youth service.
Autumn has had a long relationship with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) through Young Greenwich, the youth service delivered by CACT on behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Autumn was a youth service member during her teenage years, spending her time at Woolwich Common Youth Hub, one of the four main youth hubs in the Borough. The young singer dedicated her time to work on her passion for singing and developed as a professional artist over the years.
Heavily involved in CACT’s initiatives, Autumn won the Perform singing competition in 2014 and, a year later, went to compete on The Voice UK, where she reached the quarter-finals. Autumn was also on the judging panel for both Perform 2015 and 2018, where she was a support act for CACT’s fundraising concert.
Head of Youth Service, Jeannette said:
“It is a pleasure and a privilege to have Autumn as the ambassador for the youth service. Autumn was a member of the youth service for a number of years in her youth and will prove to be a positive role model and an inspiration to our young people”
Delighted about her new adventure with Young Greenwich, Autumn said:
“I truly feel blessed as I begin once again a journey with the Charlton Athletic Community Trust. As an ambassador I am committed to do my very best and give my hand whilst sharing my experiences with the young people in Greenwich. To be inspiring and motivating them the same way I have been.”
Autumn was one of the guest speakers at CACT’s Partners’ Reception at The Valley on Thursday 27 September.
Autumn will also perform at Young Greenwich Day on Saturday 6 October. Click here to find out more about the event.
