Volunteers week is an annual event starting from the 1st to the 7th of June, set up by the NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) to celebrate the contribution that volunteers make across the UK.
On Thursday 1st June Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) kicked off Volunteers' Week and attended a volunteers fayre, promoting the good work that CACT do in the Health Improvement Department and to encourage others to volunteer for CACT taking part in our Greenwich Get Active Roadshow that is happening throughout the Summer.
The Greenwich Get Active Roadshow will be touring the borough for 7 weeks throughout the summer, attending local parks and towns supporting those who are interested in getting more active. There will also be a presence from some of Greenwich Get Active Providers, who will be showcasing their activities.
