Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) Youth Health Team toured the borough promoting health after collaborating with Oxleas NHS and the Royal Borough of Greenwich
CACT has been offered young people aged between 15 and 18 a range of advice on a variety of different topics surrounding health, anything from emotional and mental wellbeing to healthy eating, stopping smoking and alcohol and drugs.
The advice provided to these young people were tailored to their needs after they completed a health survey. 14 young people from Greenwich schools were selected at random to receive a £20 voucher for taking part.
Lewis Clarke, CACT Youth Health Lead, said:
“It has been great to meet some of the young people who have won vouchers this year and see the boost it has given them in their next steps either toward employment, University, Sixth Form or otherwise. The project has been very important in directly supporting these young people and giving us a better understanding of the challenges they are facing. We are looking forward to this coming academic year and the opportunity to support more young people in Greenwich.”
