Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is coming together with over 600 charities to thank supporters who donated through the UK's biggest match funding campaign, the Big Give's Christmas Challenge 2019.
The Big Give's record-breaking campaign, which ran from 3-10 December 2019, generated more than £15 million in vital funding for good causes across the country, matching donations pound for pound until the funding pot was empty.
Through this year's Christmas Challenge, CACT raised £2,506 towards its bursary in just 7 days.
Lorna Taylor, CACT's Head of Fundraising and Development, said:
"A huge thank you to all our supporters who donated to CACT through the Big Give Christmas Challenge, and a special mention to long-term supporters of CACT, Centre Circle, who provided the matched funding.
"The funds raised from the campaign will support CACT's bursary, offering financial support to participants in our programmes, for example helping with travel expenses so they can attend, providing clothing for young people we're working with or paying for a haircut before an interview."
