Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is hosting an open day for football coaches at the club’s Sparrows Lane training ground on Sunday 27 August. The taster session, which starts at 6pm, will showcase the coaching opportunities CACT provides.
Anyone with an interest in pursuing a career in coaching is invited to the event in New Eltham, with CACT looking for outstanding coaches to supervise its programmes from this autumn.
CACT’s football & sports development strand is run by UEFA and FA-qualified coaches, with sessions encompassing a wide range of age groups, from toddler soccer to the Post-16 Academy.
A number of first-team players have come through the football development programme over the years, most recently forward Karlan Ahearne-Grant.
Sean Daly, CACT’s Head of Football & Sports Development, said:
“As an organisation we believe in upskilling our workforce so that we can offer the best provision of sports and football development in our catchment area.
“Open to everyone, next week’s open day offers individuals the chance to find out about how to start their coaching career with CACT.”
