Charlton Athletic are thrilled to announce that midfielder Carla Humphrey has signed a new contract, extending her stay with the club until 2026.
Humphrey, who joined the Addicks last season, made a significant impact with 25 appearances and four goals. The 27-year-old expressed her excitement about continuing her journey with Charlton.
“I’m delighted to sign a new deal,” Humphrey said. “I was really happy last year, both on and off the pitch, so it was an easy decision for me to stay.”
Reflecting on her experience with the team, she added, “The group of girls are amazing, and the staff are great. I was happy and enjoying my football, and that’s the most important thing.”
Humphrey also spoke warmly about the Charlton fans: “I can’t wait to play in front of them again. I really appreciated the award and it meant a lot to me to be recognised by the fans for the hard work I put in. I’m excited to replicate that again this year, especially at the Valley, which will be extra special.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Humphrey shared her determination: “We fell a little short last year, which was disappointing for the whole group. This year, I’m more motivated than ever to go and win the title.”
