Charlton Athletic have launched the club’s brand-new away kit for the 2024/25 season.
The abstract pattern featured on the strip is inspired by the skyline view from Greenwich Park, based on linear shapes of architecture and foliage from the greenery of the park. The breathtaking views of the London skyline are visible from Greenwich Park as well as The Valley.
Charlton have a rich history in yellow, a colour which has been a part of the club’s history for almost 50 years. Indeed, the men’s first-team have tasted a number of promotions during seasons with a yellow strip, while the women’s first-team wore yellow in the 2004 Community Shield, when Ann-Marie Heatherson’s goal earned the Addicks a 1-0 victory over Arsenal. The men's first-team also recorded the club's highest-ever Premier League finish in 2003/04.
The men’s first-team will wear the kit for the first time in Saturday’s Sky Bet League One season-opener at Wigan Athletic.
The kit will be available to purchase online from 3pm today (Thursday, August 8th) and in-store from 11am tomorrow (Friday, August 9th). Click here to visit the online club shop.
The unique yellow is contrasted with black cuffs and a stylish matching collar, and the look is completed with black shorts with a yellow side panel and yellow socks with the Charlton sword featuring on the front and Castore’s winged logo on the back.
The away goalkeeper shirt is a vibrant purple and, like, the 2024/25 home goalkeeper shirt, features the silhouette of the Charlton sword. The shorts and socks are the same shade of purple.
