With just over three weeks to go until the Upbeats Walk on 23 April, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is pleased to announce two Charlton legends who will be taking part.
Bob Bolder, the former goalkeeper who has been involved with Charlton for 35 years, and Paul Mortimer will be taking on the Upbeats Walk starting from CAFC’s Training Ground in New Eltham all the way to The Valley, alongside the walkers, 110 of which have already signed up.
Yann Kermorgant will be joining Charlton TV on the day and is hoping to greet the walkers after completing their sponsored walk at the finishing line.
DNEL Events, who have recently been confirmed as the Upbeats Walk’s official sponsor, will be handing out refreshments to the walkers at the halfway point.
Speaking about the Upbeats and why he has chosen to get involved in the Upbeats Walk, Bob said:
“It’s nice to get together with a group of fans and the Upbeats themselves once again. The fundraising is important to keep the programme going for all participants and their families.
“We’ve missed it a bit, it feels like it’s been such a long time to get together as a group for such a special programme. There’s always a lot of joy for people on this particular walk. From my experience, the people doing the walk love a bit of conversation and it always ends up being a fantastic day!”
There are still spaces to join Bob & Paul on the walk all whilst helping to raise money for the Upbeats. Click here to book your free place now!
