“Charlton, with the best community trust in the UK and one of the top 10 academies across professional football, is a club full of incredible untold stories. Our focus will be on telling those stories and creating the events that allows the club to further deepen its connection with local people. Our launch, for the Africa Cup of Nations final last weekend, was a great success with hundreds of people from the local community coming to The Valley on a Sunday evening, and that will be just the first of many such events.”
Charlton’s Head of External Relations Tom Rubashow added: “Right from the start, the ownership has been clear with the executive team about its vision for the long-term growth of the club. We have one of the largest catchment areas in English football, and it is essential that we engage with our local community. Our content and marketing teams have been working with The Building Bloc for the last few months, doing the research and putting in place a strategic marketing plan that is both effective and durable.”
