Charlton partner with Drury Tea and Coffee Company

Drury Tea and Coffee Company products on sale in the Charlton Athletic club shop.

Drury Tea and Coffee Company, one of the most prominent businesses in the South East London Chamber of Commerce and one which boasts nearly 90 years of experience; have become the latest new organisation to partner with Charlton Athletic for the 2024/25 season.

This exciting new partnership will not only see Drury Tea and Coffee Company’s distinctive branding on the LED screens and on the big screen at The Valley this season, but supporters will also be able to buy bespoke Charlton Athletic-branded packets of Drury’s specially blended tea and coffee from the club’s brand-new club shop.

The Drury Tea & Coffee Company was established in 1936 in London when three Italian brothers set up a tea company, originally called Olmi Brothers Tea. They began by blending and packing tea from premises opposite London’s Windmill Theatre and started roasting coffee for wholesale and retail just a few years later. It was their move to Drury Lane in 1946 that gave rise to the company’s present-day name, The Drury Tea and Coffee Company.

Today, Drury remains a family business with the third and fourth generation of Olmis now running the company, and in June 2015 the company moved its factory and headquarters from Bermondsey to the Royal Arsenal development in Woolwich.

Drury Managing Director Marco Olmi said: “We at Drury Tea & Coffee are incredibly excited to work with Charlton Athletic on this project and we think the tea and coffee blends the club have selected will be a huge hit with their fans. The fact that they have chosen a local company, based less than two miles from the ground, and have opted for fully sustainable packaging is testament to their forward thinking and clearly demonstrates Charlton’s and Drury’s shared values.”

Commenting on the new partnership, Charlton Athletic Commercial Manager Steve Sutherland said: ‘‘We are delighted that a company of the stature of Drury Tea and Coffee have chosen to work with us for the coming season. We are also very pleased to be aligning with a company that is recognised as being one of the most respected members of the South-East London Chamber of Commerce. I’d like to thank Marco for the confidence he has shown in Charlton Athletic and we look forward to working closely with him and his colleagues over the coming months.’’
