Michael Appleton has provided an update on Chuks Aneke's hamstring injury.
The forward was forced off after 64 minutes during last weekend's 4-0 victory at home to Reading.
“Early indications from what the first scan shows doesn’t look great, if I’m being honest," Appleton revealed in his Friday press conference. "Without sort of being quoted on it too much, it’s going to be a couple of months at least.”
Aneke is set to see a specialist next week.
The Head Coach also gave the latest on midfielder Terry Taylor following his successful ankle surgery.
“Terry’s doing alright," said Appleton. "I know the brace is due to come off his foot soon. In the first few weeks after your operation it’s about trying to keep your chin up, keep your morale.
"When you’re able to get back in the gym and be in and around the players and the medical staff, the focus gets a little bit closer to ‘right, what does the end line look like?’
"It’s up to him and the players to keep his morale up and I’m sure they will," he added. "Like most injuries, he’s got a lot of hard work ahead of him but he’s the type of lad and character who’s capable of doing it.”
