Charlton Athletic Community Trust's (CACT) latest open day for football coaches is taking place on Sunday 14 January. The taster session gets underway at 6pm at the club’s Sparrows Lane training ground in New Eltham, showcasing the coaching opportunities CACT provides.
Anyone with an interest in pursuing a career in coaching is invited to the event, with CACT looking for outstanding coaches to supervise its programmes from early next year.
CACT’s football & sports development strand is run by UEFA and FA-qualified coaches, with sessions encompassing a wide range of age groups, from toddler soccer to the Post-16 Academy.
A number of first-team players have come through the football development programme over the years, most recently forward Karlan Ahearne-Grant, who has two goals in two games for the Addicks.
Sean Daly, CACT’s Head of Football & Sports Development, said:
“As an organisation we are committed to upskilling our workforce so that we can offer the best provision of sports and football development possible.
“Our upcoming open day is open to everyone and offers individuals the chance to find out about how to start their coaching career with CACT.”
