This Saturday is Charlton Athletic Community Trust’s (CACT) annual National Citizen Service (NCS) Day as Charlton take on Fleetwood Town! CACT has been delivering NCS since 2011 and is looking forward to its 11th year of delivery across Greenwich, Bexley and Kent.
Look out for the CACT NCS team outside the West Stand ahead of the game from 12pm where there will be a mobile climbing wall from Outdoor Pursuits, as well as a puzzle board challenge from Escape Game Events.
The CACT NCS team will be on hand to explain all about the summer 2022 programme and answer any questions supporters, parents or young people have. A message from NCS Ambassador Ben Purrington will be broadcast on the big screen at half-time as part of a video showcasing what NCS has to offer.
Last year, more than 1,500 young people attended a CACT NCS programme and there are spaces for even more to get involved this year. From living away for a week to gain a taste of independence to creating and delivering a social action project in their local communities, NCS teaches its participants valuable life skills.
Fleetwood Town Community Trust also deliver NCS for 16 to 17-year-olds in partnership with the EFL Trust and NCS Trust, as do a number of community trusts across the country.
Make sure to stop by between 12 and 2.30pm to hear all about NCS and get involved with the range of activities taking place. To find out more about NCS, please visit: wearencs.com
