Dean Holden thanked fans for their support as season tickets went on sale for the 2023/24 season and said he will stop at nothing to help drive the club forward.
The Charlton Manager signed a three-year contract extension with the Addicks earlier this month.
He was asked what his message to supporters would be with season tickets going on sale.
Holden said: “I’d like to thank supporters. It’s not just been an up and down season, it's been an up and down few years. I was at the Fans’ Forum last week and [they were saying] it’s been over 10 years of uncertainty around the club. We can’t get away from that. There are people in charge of the football club and people on the inside who care about the success of this football club.
“Actions speak louder than words. I can sit here and I’m excited we’ve retained young Ash [Maynard-Brewer] in goal, we have Lucas Ness and some other good young players and we've retained Corey Blackett-Taylor for next year.
"Hopefully the fans will be excited by the signings we make in the summer as well. I think that's always a big thing as a supporter and I know that myself going back a few years - it's always a time that gets you excited. I think the supporters will see, with the signings we're trying to make and the players that we’ll be in for, where we want to get to next season in terms of getting to the top end of the division.
“I will never ever take supporters for granted, particularly with the state the country is in. For someone to put their hands in their pocket and fork out a good bit of money for a season ticket for next season is a big thing because people are having to turn their heating off at home, let’s not forget about that.
"We appreciate everything they do for the football club and it’s our time now. This is now up to us on the inside to really show our incredible fanbase how committed we are to improving this club and getting it out of this division. It might sound a bit bold and a bit blunt but those are the facts. I’ll stop at nothing to make sure that that happens.”
