Charlton Athletic can confirm that forward Ella Rutherford sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the club's Barclays Women's Championship fixture against Coventry United at The Oakwood on Sunday, February 5th.
The 22-year-old old's diagnosis was confirmed after a scan earlier in the week and she will be undergoing her surgery soon.
Rutherford will now complete her rehabilitation process with the club, and we wish her all the very best in her recovery.
