As has been the case for the past few seasons at The Valley, home matchdays will be adopting a dedicated theme throughout the 2022/23 campaign.
The theming of matchdays allows the club to engage with supporters of all ages through a variety of off-pitch activities and also promote a number of good causes that are led by the club and its award-winning Community Trust.
The next themed matchday in SE7 will be 'Esports Day' for the visit of Oxford United on Saturday, October 1st (3pm). More information on the day's theme will be released in due course and you can get your tickets for the game by clicking here.
Traditionally, one of the most popular themed matchdays is Upbeats Day, which is set for the Addicks' final home game of the season against Port Vale on Saturday, April 29th (3pm).
The day coincides with the annual Upbeats walk from the club's Sparrows Lane training ground to The Valley. Upon arrival in SE7, the much-loved Charlton Upbeats receive a rousing reception from our fans before playing a match on the hallowed turf.
Another notable themed matchday is the annual academy and Valley Gold day in which all academy players perform a lap of honour around The Valley pitch in front of the Addicks faithful. This season's academy and Valley Gold day will take place on Saturday, March 25th when Charlton host Wycombe Wanderers.
The club’s annual University of Greenwich takeover day is set for our match against MK Dons at The Valley on Tuesday, October 25th, while the club's annual Environmental Day, run in conjunction with club partner RSK, will take place on Saturday, February 25th.
