Ben Garner believes the returning Chuks Aneke has given the whole club a lift.
The Charlton striker scored two minutes after coming on to the pitch to help the Addicks to a 4-2 victory at home to Exeter City on Tuesday evening.
Speaking to CharltonTV after the game, Garner said: “If we’d have had Chuks available all season, I think we’d have an extra six to eight points.
“Even just Forest Green and Cambridge here, where we’ve drawn the games, I think him coming on probably would have won us the game with his ability and what he can do to find goals.
“He’s given me a lift, he’s given the group a lift and he’s done that again tonight with the supporters.”
