Gather & Gather to support CACT with donation from matchday sales

-

Charlton’s catering partner, Gather & Gather, will be supporting Community Day on Saturday by donating a percentage of all sales at the stadium’s bars and kiosks to Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT).

Community Day will provide the opportunity for CACT’s award-winning achievements to be celebrated, while also introducing the wide-reaching impact of the varied programmes that are delivered.

As part of a fundraising effort, fans are being asked to play their part towards sustaining and expanding the vital community work being done by bringing a pound to the ground and making a donation of just £1.

And to lend their support, Gather & Gather have made the generous offer to donate a percentage of all of their sales on the day to add to the fundraising total.

CACT CEO, Jason Morgan, said: “We are hugely appreciative of the support that Gather & Gather are giving us and would like to thank them on behalf of CACT.

“It is an initiative which they were very keen to approach us with and we’re very grateful that they want to play their part alongside us, the supporters and the club in helping to make whatever difference they can.”

Meanwhile, Darren Lord, General Manager for Gather & Gather, added: "We are delighted to be able to both contribute and help celebrate such a wonderful initiative with the trust.

"Community and partnership are at the heart of our values, so we as a team, are very much looking forward to playing our part and welcoming everyone to the ground on Saturday."

Supporters can donate on Saturday either by dropping their loose change into a collection bucket, or by scanning QR codes which will be available around the ground as well as in the matchday programme, Valley Review.

Thanks to Gather & Gather, QR codes will also be available to scan via the screens on the tills at kiosks and bars around the stadium.

If you are not attending Saturday’s fixture, but would still like to donate, you can do so by clicking here.
