PSA testing bucket collection
Ahead of the club’s annual PSA testing event taking place this Saturday, fans can support the event and the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal by providing donations to bucket collectors in and around the ground from 12.30pm. All donations are greatly appreciated.
The PSA test is a blood test that measures the amount of prostate specific antigen (PSA) in your blood to help diagnose prostate problems - including prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is now the third most common cancer in the UK. Early diagnosis is crucial but symptoms do not usually appear until the prostate is large enough to affect the urethra.
The club can confirm that all 500 PSA tests have now been booked.
Make big savings in the club shop
Supporters can enjoy big savings on the majority of club shop items on Saturday.
The Valley Superstore will be open until kick-off (3pm) and will then open for an additional 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Watch the walking football demonstration at half-time
Saturday is the club's annual men's health day and as well as the aforementioned PSA testing, supporters will also get the chance to watch a demonstration of Charlton Athletic Community Trust's walking football.
Aimed at men aged 50+, walking football is a non-contact version of the game which helps to maintain a healthy lifestyle while also creating a social atmosphere that men from all walks of life can enjoy.
Whether you've never played before, played when you were younger or had to stop due to an injury, walking football is a great way to get involved.
Walking Football takes place at Eltham Goals on Tuesday mornings between 10.30am and 11.30am and Footscray Rugby Club on Thursday evenings between 6pm and 7pm.
It’s priced £4 a session or £15 for the month and you can turn up and pay on the day or email Matt Phillips at matt.phillips@cact.org.uk to book a place.
