Dean Holden is looking to start the 2023/24 campaign on the front foot as the Addicks begin the season with three of their first four league games at The Valley.
The 2023/24 Sky Bet League One fixtures were revealed on Thursday morning with Charlton kicking-off the campaign against Leyton Orient on Saturday, August 5th at The Valley. After a visit to Peterborough United on Saturday 12th, Holden's side will then host Bristol Rovers and Port Vale.
Holden said: "The fixture release day always creates a real excitement for us as staff and for fans as well. It brings with it a new hope and expectation for a new season.
"You naturally look at the first game of the season and I’m pleased we’re starting off with a home game in front of our fans. It will be a game against a Leyton Orient side high off their promotion last season and a manager, in Richie Wellens, who I have known for decades.
"We’re back in full training on Monday and I am really looking forward to being in, seeing everyone and importantly getting down to work as we prepare for that first game against Orient and the season ahead."
