Dean Holden has provided an update on the club’s transfer plans with less than a week left of the winter window.
The Addicks have made three signings to date with the arrivals of Macauley Bonne, Todd Kane and Matt Penney.
“We’re working hard behind the scenes, we really are,” explained the Manager. “There’s still a couple of key positions that we’re looking to address. We’re confident on that and there’s been some good conversations, but until it’s over the line you never really know.
“Hopefully we won’t be sat here [at the training ground] in darkness on Tuesday night at 10.59pm with a pizza in our hand chasing a signature to the EFL! If it needs to we’ll work with that but we’re well prepared and we’re confident.
“There’s some good work going on and we’ve proved that we’re ready with the first three signings that we’ve already made,” he added.
“Up until the window closes it’ll be interesting, both in terms of clubs going in for our players and obviously the work we’re trying to get done in terms of incomings. It’s always an interesting time.
“Away from the training ground with the players there’s a lot of time being spent on that and we’re looking forward to 11pm next Tuesday, when it’s done and we know exactly what squad we’re working with and we can push on.”
