After recording maximum points against Blackburn Rovers to maintain the Addicks' unbeaten record on the road this season, we caught up with Welsh international and Charlton no.15 Kayleigh Green as she and her teammates look ahead to derby day in SE7:
"I think the performances have been good, I think each week we are getting stronger, we are going on the training pitch and we are working harder.
“We just need to continue the performances and get a little bit better in certain areas but, I think we have been putting in the hard work and it has been showing."
Green made the move to south London from WSL outfit Brighton in the summer and the forward has recorded four league goals already so far this season, a trend she intends to continue:
"Something I want to do for the team is step onto the pitch and put some balls in the goal, so yes, four goals this season and I am hoping to get more throughout the campaign."
Karen Hills' side will face south London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday an occasion that Green and her teammates are all excited for:
"It is always great to go to The Valley and play the game in front of our fans. So, it is something that we are looking forward to!
“Crystal Palace have had a great start to the season so far so we need to go onto the pitch and see how we can utilise our strengths and expose their weaknesses."
