Jones: 'The fans have got right behind us'

Nathan Jones is relishing Saturday's contest against Lincoln City at The Valley.

The Addicks made it eight wins on the spin in SE7 last time out with a comprehensive 4-0 triumph over fellow promotion-contenders Huddersfield Town.

"All I can say to Charlton fans is just keep doing what you're doing," explained the gaffer. "They turn up and they've got right behind the team. They're a big, big part of what we're trying to achieve and the momentum that we've gained."

This weekend marks the 10th anniversary of the nine-mile Upbeats walk, making this year’s fundraiser for the much-loved Upbeats even more significant.

"The support they give to the Upbeats is truly outstanding," Jones said. "I have no doubt that they will continue to do that, but if they need any prompting from me then, yeah, let's get behind it and do everything we can. They're a very strong-willed bunch, so I know exactly where their heart will be on the weekend."

Jones also provided an update on injured trio Miles Leaburn (quad), Daniel Kanu (ankle) and Ashley Maynard-Brewer (groin). He said: "Miles is furthest away, Daniel is not too far and Ashley's actually back training. We won't see Miles for the rest of this season, but with Daniel we really hope we do."
