Charlton striker Kayleigh Green will be playing under her married name Kayleigh Barton moving forwards.
The summer signing, who has played a pivotal role in Charlton’s recent form which has taken them top of the women’s Championship, will be wearing the name Barton on the back of her shirt for all future games.
She explained: “I recently got married in September and with only a few years left in my football career I would like to have my married name on my football top so my future kids can see what I achieved.
“The name means a lot to me and my family, it’s something I can look back on with my future kids and show them shirts and photos with our family name.”
