Charlie Kirk bagged a stoppage-time winner on his Burton Albion debut on Saturday.
The winger, who was introduced as an 82nd-minute substitute at Fleetwood Town, netted the match-winning goal six minutes into injury time to help the Brewers climb out of the bottom four.
Meanwhile, Sam Lavelle, who also completed a loan move to Burton on deadline day, was not involved.
Speaking post-match, Burton boss Dino Maamria said: “It was a quality finish from Charlie Kirk. It was nice for him to do it for me this time as he’s done it a few times against me for Crewe and Charlton!”
Elsewhere in League One, Conor McGrandles played the entirety of Cambridge United’s 1-1 draw against high-flying Ipswich Town and won his side a penalty in the first half.
Diallang Jaiyesimi debuted for AFC Wimbledon in their 1-0 reverse at the hands of league leaders Leyton Orient, while Alex Gilbey completed the full 90 minutes of Stevenage’s goalless draw at Sutton United.
In the National League, academy graduate Charlie Barker was at the heart of the Wealdstone defence that kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 triumph at home to Dagenham & Redbridge and Karoy Anderson was an unused substitute in Aldershot Town’s 2-0 win against Dorking Wanderers.
Meanwhile, Dylan Gavin came on as a second-half substitute for National League South side Welling United, who drew 2-2 at home to second-placed Dartford.
