MATCH PREVIEW | Charlton v Blackpool

'

Nathan Jones’ side return to The Valley on Saturday to host Blackpool (KO 3pm BST).

The Addicks will be looking to record a third win on the spin this weekend following successive victories against Shrewsbury Town and Cambridge United.

All U11s can attend Saturday's fixture for just £1 as part of the club’s Kids for a Quid initiative. Click here to purchase your tickets.

TEAM NEWS

Jones confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Miles Leaburn will once again feature for the U21s on Friday afternoon as the striker continues to build up his match minutes.

The visitors will be without Elkan Baggott (ankle), Ollie Norburn (hamstring) and Ashley Fletcher (suspended), but are hopeful on the availability of Lee Evans (foot) and Dom Ballard (leg).

THE OPPOSITION

Steve Bruce's side travel to the capital following a narrow 1-0 defeat against Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Blackpool earned their first league win of the season last weekend in what was Bruce's first game at the helm, claiming a late 2-1 triumph at home to Exeter City. That leaves the Seasiders sat 19th in the Sky Bet League One table having taken five points from their five fixtures to date.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The two sides have clashed 68 times prior to Saturday’s fixture, with the Addicks winning 19, the Seasiders 31 and the remaining 18 meetings resulted in draws.

Charlton came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw at Bloomfield Road when the teams last met in January 2024.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Charles Breakspear will be the man in the middle this weekend.

He will be assisted by Daniel Bonneywell and James Hurst, while James Durkin has been appointed as the Fourth Official.
