Joe Wollacott, Michael Hector and Chuks Aneke could all feature in Holden’s matchday squad having gained valuable minutes for the U21s on Tuesday, but Todd Kane (hamstring) and Mandela Egbo (quad) are still unavailable.
The visitors will be without captain Josh Vela, who was sent off for violent conduct in Fleetwood’s last league outing.
Former Addick Jayden Stockley, Corrie Ndaba and Jack Marriott are all expected to return for the Cod Army having been cup-tied in midweek.
Fleetwood currently sit 17th in League One, five places and eight points below the Addicks.
Scott Brown’s side earned a 1-0 triumph against a much-changed Sheffield Wednesday side on Tuesday to reach the FA Cup first round for the first time in the club’s history.
That was preceded by a 3-2 reverse at home to Burton Albion last weekend, with the Cod Army’s last league win coming at Shrewsbury Town on New Year’s Day.
Charlton and Fleetwood have gone toe-to-toe on 11 previous occasions, with the Addicks winning four, the Cod Army one and the remaining six meetings resulting in draws.
The reverse fixture came in September 2022 and saw the spoils shared at Highbury Stadium. Callum Morton fired the hosts ahead on the half-hour mark but substitute Miles Leaburn’s deft flick rescued a late point for the Addicks.
Carl Boyeson will be the man in the middle on Saturday afternoon. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in February 2022 – a 4-0 defeat at home to Oxford United.
Boyeson will be assisted by Andrew Laver and Paul Yates, while Leigh Crowhurst is the Fourth Official.
