Ben Garner confirmed in his Friday press conference that Corey Blackett-Taylor (hip) is set to return to the squad, though Ryan Inniss is unavailable as he begins his two-match suspension.
Diallang Jaiyesimi (ankle) and Miles Leaburn (ankle) are longer-term absentees.
Ipswich will welcome back skipper Sam Morsy following a one-match suspension, while Kane Vincent-Young (calf) could also return to the matchday squad.
Greg Leigh (compression fracture), Lee Evans (knee), Sone Aluko (knee) and Gassan Ahadme (foot) will all miss out for the visitors.
Ipswich currently sit second in Sky Bet League One with 36 points, just two points behind league leaders Plymouth Argyle who inflicted the Tractor Boys’ solitary away league defeat this term in September.
Kieran McKenna’s side travel to the capital in excellent form having claimed five wins from their last six league outings.
Charlton and Ipswich have clashed on 56 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 20, Ipswich 24 and the remaining 12 games ending in draws.
The last meeting between the two sides came at Portman Road on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign, with the hosts claiming a 4-0 win.
Ipswich’s last trip to SE7, meanwhile, resulted in a 2-0 triumph for Charlton with Jayden Stockley and Alex Gilbey both on the scoresheet.
Josh Smith will be the man in the middle on Saturday. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture in January – a 1-0 Emirates FA Cup defeat against Norwich City.
Smith will be assisted by Mark Russell and Robert Hyde, while James Oldham is the Fourth Official.

The Fans’ Bar will be opening its doors to supporters from 12pm, while the Family Activity Zone will be open from 12.30pm until 2.15pm.
The Scouts will be selling poppies outside the ground from 12.30pm until kick-off, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
