Speaking in his weekly press conference, Holden said there have been no changes to the injury list amongst his squad. Ryan Inniss will serve the final game of his three-match suspension, while Lucas Ness (knee), Corey Blackett-Taylor (hamstring) and Chuks Aneke (hamstring) remain sidelined.
Dennis Politic is available again for the Valiants following a three-game ban, though David Worrall (groin), Ellis Harrison (groin) and James Wilson (Achilles) will all be assessed having been forced off last Saturday.
Lewis Cass (calf) and Ben Garrity (calf) may return for the visitors this weekend, but Dan Jones (ankle) is set to miss the remainder of the season.
Port Vale currently sit 18th in the League One table and travel to the capital on the back of a first win in nine following last weekend's 2-0 triumph at home to Bristol Rovers.
Harrison and Tom Pett were both on target for the Valiants to give Andy Crosby his maiden victory as interim boss.
Charlton and Port Vale have locked horns on 33 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 14, the Valiants nine and the remaining 10 meetings resulting in draws.
Port Vale claimed a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture at Vale Park back in November 2022. Blackburn Rovers loanee Daniel Butterworth netted the game's solitary goal on 57 minutes.
Carl Brook will take charge of proceedings on Saturday. The official last refereed a Charlton fixture back in January 2023 - a 2-1 defeat against Bolton Wanderers in SE7.
Brook will be assisted by Kevin Morris and Michael George, while Paul Evans is the Fourth Official.
