The Addicks return to The Valley this Saturday to host Rotherham United in Sky Bet League One (KO 3pm BST).

TEAM NEWS

Nathan Jones confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Luke Berry and Tennai Watson have both trained this week after recovering from illness.

The visitors will be without former Addick Andre Green (Achilles), while late calls will be made on defensive duo Joe Rafferty (groin) and Sean Raggett (knee).

THE OPPOSITION

The Millers are the first newly-relegated side to visit The Valley in Sky Bet League One this season after finishing bottom in the second tier last term.

Rotherham have endured a slow start to their campaign under Steve Evans, who returned to the club back in April, picking up just one win in their opening four league fixtures.

That win came last weekend when Mallik Wilks netted a late winner in the Millers' 2-1 triumph against Huddersfield Town.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The two sides have locked horns on 38 previous occasions, with the Addicks claiming 14 wins, the Millers 14 and the remaining 10 clashes resulting in draws.

In the previous meeting, a George Dobson scorcher separated the sides as the Addicks prevailed in South Yorkshire back in April 2022.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Simon Mather will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s encounter.

Damith Bandara and Anthony Da Costa will assist Mather on the day, with David Rock named as the Fourth Official.
