Karen Hills' side have been active in securing new talent. Kayleigh Green, Rebecca McKenna, Kate Longhurst, Karin Muya, and Carla Humphrey have all joined the Charlton ranks. Additionally, Freya Godfrey has arrived on a season-long loan from Arsenal whilst Elisha N’Dow and Sian Rogers also made their loan spells permanent.
Sheffield United have also been busy in the transfer market - Tara Bourne, Ella Kinzett, Jodie Hutton, Ashley Hodson, Isabel Goodwin, Jess Sigsworth, Ellie May, Atlant Brown and Olivia Page are the fresh faces donning the Blades’ colours.
Under the guidance of Jonathan Morgan, Sheffield United Women secured an eighth place finish in the Barclays Women’s Championship last term.
The upcoming season opener will mark the 10th meeting between the two sides. In their most recent encounter at Bramall Lane in February, the Blades secured a narrow 1-0 victory. However, in the previous fixture held in December, Charlton emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win. Throughout their history, the sides have met on nine occasions, with each team securing three victories apiece and three matches ending in draws.
