The Addicks are back in action on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Sixfields Stadium to face Northampton Town (KO 3pm GMT).
Charlton will look to return to winning ways in Sky Bet League One following back-to-back goalless draws against Lincoln City and Mansfield Town.
TEAM NEWS
Nathan Jones provided a positive update on the fitness of Kayne Ramsay and Chuks Aneke in Thursday's press conference.
“Kayne is a lot closer than he was before,” said the boss. “We've had some good news, and he's out there running. That's a good thing, he's not as far away as people may think.
“There have been no setbacks [with Chuks]. He's someone we have to be really careful with, conscious of his injury record. We got to a very good place with him by getting impact pretty much every game, then he got injured. Hopefully over Christmas we'll have him back and he can provide that impact again.”
THE OPPOSITION
Northampton sit 19th in the Sky Bet League One table, two points above the relegation zone.
The Cobblers, who currently have interim boss Ian Sampson in the hotseat following Jon Brady's resignation, suffered a 3-0 reverse at Rotherham United in their last league outing.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The two sides have gone toe-to-toe on 37 previous occasions with the Addicks winning 13, the Cobblers 10 and the remaining 14 games resulting in draws.
The spoils were shared when the sides last met at Sixfields Stadium back in March 2024 when Karoy Anderson netted in a 1-1 draw.
MATCH OFFICIALS
Ben Toner will be the man in the middle for this weekend's fixture.
Toner will be assisted by Abbas Khan and Ross Murphy, while Abigail Byrne has been appointed as the Fourth Official.
COLOURS
The Addicks will be wearing their yellow away kit on Saturday.
