Charlton Athletic are excited to announce that midfielder Mia Ross has signed a one-year extension with the Addicks ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Ross joined the club in the summer of 2021 following her departure from Liverpool and made 24 appearances for the Addicks in her debut campaign, scoring her first goal in a 2-0 victory over London City Lionesses in November 2021.
Having impressed at club level, Ross received a call-up to the Lionesses’ U23 squad alongside teammates Angela Addison and Kiera Skeels. She would go on to be named in the starting XI alongside Angela Addison for England’s goalless draw against Spain at St. Georges Park in February 2023.
The 20-year-old has previously enjoyed success at international level prior to this season, featuring for the Lionesses’ in their U19 European Championship last summer, when she came off the bench against Norway and was amongst the starting line-up for the tie against Germany.
Ross shared her delight upon signing the new deal: “I’m happy to have signed a new contract with Charlton and looking forward to another season of building on a positive project.
Charlton has continued to consistently develop me to perform and compete at a high level, I want to continue to strive in the right direction to help the team as much as possible."
