The 25th year of Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) has begun with the appointment of key members of staff.
Michael Ward joins as Kent Development Officer within the Football & Sports Development strand of CACT’s work. He joins from the West Ham United Foundation where he was Senior Football Development Officer for 3 years.
He previously worked for CACT from 2004 until 2007 as part of the Kent Social Inclusion Programme.
He now takes over as CACT Kent Development Officer, building capacity, improving infrastructure and increasing participation in football across all ages and abilities in Kent.
“It’s great to be back at CACT. I learnt so much at the West Ham United Foundation but I’m glad to be working again on the south side of the river.”
“CACT does great work with some great partners across Kent. I can’t wait to be a part of helping these programmes grow and reach as many young people as possible across the county.”
Dale Mullings also joins the trust as an Enterprise Officer. Dale joins from St Dunstan’s College in Catford where she was a Extra-Curricular Activities Co-Ordinator.
Her role is a new one for CACT and will be part of a new ‘Social Action and Enterprise’ strand; which will also encompass the National Citizen Service.
The enterprise programme will deliver a wide range of activities across Greenwich, Bexley and Kent in order to promote and foster an enterprising culture amongst young people.
Ranging from workshops, masterclasses and enterprise competitions to incubation of local enterprises, the programme will enable young people to develop enterprising and entrepreneurial skills relevant to both employment and self-employment.
Dale said “This is a really exciting role and I’m very happy take it up. Hopefully these new projects will really inspire young people across South- East London and Kent to fulfil their potential. I can’t wait to start working with everyone to break new ground for CACT as it enters its 25th year.”
Dale is joined in the 'Social Action and Enterprise' department by Gemma Bolton, who is also beginning with the trust as an Assistant NCS Officer.
