The Addicks begin their 2023/24 pre-season schedule on Saturday afternoon, travelling to Welling United (3pm KO BST).
For the first time since the pandemic, this weekend’s fixture at Park View Road will be the club’s curtain-raiser for the summer - a tradition which began in 2002.
Charlton won 3-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly against the Wings at Sparrows Lane last July thanks to an Alex Gilbey brace and a Diallang Jaiyesimi strike.
Meanwhile, the Addicks’ last visit to DA16 came in July 2021 and produced the same scoreline, with Jaiyesimi, Charles Clayden and Aaron Henry all on the scoresheet.
Welling, who finished 16th in National League South last season, appointed Danny Bloor as First-Team Manager in June 2023 and have added seven new players to their ranks.
With Welling’s home strip being red, the Addicks will be sporting their 2022/23 Castore blue third kit this weekend.
Supporters are reminded that Saturday’s friendly is an all-ticket affair, meaning there will be no sales available on matchday. Click here to purchase your tickets.
Those attending are encouraged to arrive early to avoid congestion, with gates opening from 12.30pm, along three drinks bars and various food vans.
There will also be a matchday programme available to purchase from the ground, priced at £3.
