Supporters can now nominate themselves for election to the club’s new Advisory Board.
Two supporters will be voted on to the new Advisory Board by fans ahead of the group's first meeting in early 2025.
The Charlton Advisory Board (CAB) was announced at the end of September as part of the club’s new fan engagement strategy, which is aligned to the board’s vision to become 'the most cohesive and sustainable community-driven club in the UK competing at an elite level'. Charlton Athletic Board member and lifelong fan Gavin Carter said: “The two Advisory Board roles present an opportunity for any supporter to get involved and make a difference in the way the club is run. There is no prior professional experience required and we very much welcome Charlton supporters of all backgrounds to apply for the roles.
“Our fanbase has been an important part of this club’s history and the new Advisory Board will give supporters the opportunity to have a positive impact on our future.”
To apply for the role as a directly elected fan, the applicant must have at least one of the following:
- 2024/25 Charlton Athletic men’s first-team season ticket
- 2024/25 Charlton Athletic women’s first-team season ticket
- More than 200 loyalty points
- Valley Gold membership
- 2024/25 annual CharltonTV subscription
Supporters should nominate themselves for the role before the closing date of 11pm (GMT) on Friday, December 6th. The Football Supporters’ Association will work with Carter on producing a shortlist of candidates from those nominated for the Charlton fanbase to vote on. An election will then take place in early 2025, with the elected supporters to join the Advisory Board's first meeting.
