Charlton secure a point late on after Kiera Skeels' 90+8 minute strike sees the Addicks stay level on points with Birmingham City at the top of the Championship table heading into the Christmas break.
The hosts started strong with a swift counterattack, sending a low ball into the box, hoping to catch Charlton off guard. But Beth Roe was there to clear the early danger.
The Blades came forward once again with a dangerous cornerball, but Sian Rogers made a brave goalline save to deny Sheffield United an opening. But, moments later the hosts found the breakthrough when Jodie Hutton curled in her well-taken free kick.
Just before the first half concluded the hosts doubled their advantage, Hutton had the initial strike on goal, but Rogers lept to deny the Blades player, but the rebound fell to Ash Hodson, who capitalized on the opportunity making it 2-0 to the hosts.
Green entered the field at the break looking to bolster Charlton's firepower, and ten minutes after the interval Charlton got one back, Beth Roe with a moment of brilliance, delivered a superb pass to Angela Addison. With superb flare, Addison outmanoeuvred the keeper and expertly slotted the ball into the net, reducing the Addicks' deficit by one.
Charlton continued to pour forward, and Kiera Skeels came agonizingly close to levelling the score, only to have her cornerball header strike the crossbar. Kate Longhurst came close just a moment after testing Sheffield United's goalkeeper, with a blistering shot from close range. But Stenson stood firm.
The clock continued to tick away and in the 98th minute of additional time, Skeels unleashed a thunderous shot from range to find the all-important equaliser and rescue a point for the Addicks.
Charlton return to action on Sunday, January 14th with an away trip to Ipswich Town in the fourth round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
