Karen Hills' side stretched their winning run to four and climbed to the top of the table after securing a 2-0 win over Southampton thanks to goals courtesy of Kayleigh Green and Melissa Johnson.
The Addicks had had the first shot on goal through Green but the Saints shot-stopper, Rendell, secured the ball comfortably.
Charlton came upfield once more this time, Rebecca McKenna showed great agility as she sprinted down the wing, carrying the ball forward with precision, she passed the ball through to Green, who found herself in a promising position. The forward attempted to curl the ball around the post. But, Rendell swiftly swept up the ball and denied Charlton the chance to score.
As the first half ticked on Mott looked to swing the ball around, trying to create opportunities for Southampton. However, Rogers was up to the challenge, collecting the ball comfortably in the 17th minute.
In the 19th minute, Wilkinson managed to get a shot on goal, slipping past Rogers, but her strike hit the post.
In the 25th minute, Mckenna once again showed her skills with a beautiful swing of the ball to Carla Humphrey, who slid it through to Green. However, Green's attempt at goal soared over the bar.
Southampton responded with a dangerous cross sent straight into the box, met by the head of Wilkinson. However, Rogers, always ready, was there to gather the ball.
Once again, in the 42nd minute, Rogers showed her brilliance by denying Saints a goal. Pike of Southampton took a low shot at the goal, but Rogers was quick and agile, denying an opening for the hosts.
Southampton, determined to break through, shot again into the top corner, hoping to secure a lead. But again, Rogers was there, reaching the top corner and tipping the ball safely over the bar!
The second half kicked off with Charlton looking to fire out the block's and Hills' side wasted no time in making their mark on this match. In the 47th minute, a brilliantly executed free kick from Carla Humphrey found its way into the box, perfectly placed for Green to rise above the defenders and powerfully head it home and see Karen Hills' side take the lead.
Saints looked to hit back in the 61st minute, a free kick presented the hosts with a chance to equalize. The ball was initially gathered by Rogers but then spilt. Fortunately, Kiera Skeels quickly reacted, clearing the danger with a timely intervention.
Southampton continued to press forward. Lloyd-Smith unleashed a ferocious strike in the 75th minute, but it sailed over the bar.
Just a moment later substitute Melissa Johnson charged upfield. However, the hosts eventually managed to snuff out the threat, denying Charlton a chance to extend their lead.
Seven minutes of extra time added on, Johnson embarked on a solo run once again. Dodging challenges, she sprinted up the pitch. And in a glorious moment of triumph, Johnson sealed the victory, slotting the ball home as Charlton secured a 2-0 victory over the saints away from home!
