Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a beneficiary charity for the Co-op Community Trust Fund.
This means that whenever Co-op members (who select CACT as their chosen charity), buy Co-op 'own-brand' products, 1% will go towards supporting CACT's important work in empowering communities and changing lives.
Become a member
It costs just £1 to become a member at the Co-op, which you can do online or in-store. Last year, this initiative raised £19 million for local causes across the UK.
This scheme works at any Co-op store throughout the UK and provides a marvellous opportunity to support the work CACT undertakes in the community. Indeed, all monies raised through the Co-op scheme will go straight back into CACT's vital work in improving health, raising education and employment levels and in reducing crime.
Raise funds simply by shopping
Steve Sutherland, CACT's Acting Head of Fundraising & Development, said:
“We're delighted to be selected by the Co-op as a beneficiary charity for their Community Trust Fund.
“Clearly, this innovative scheme has already raised significant amounts of money across the UK for a range of different charities and it provides an excellent opportunity for people to raise funds for CACT simply by doing their normal daily or weekly shopping at the Co-op.
''I would like to thank the Co-op for selecting CACT as a beneficiary charity and I hope as many people as possible take part in this important initiative.''
Deborah Jeyachandran, Co-op’s New Eltham Store Manager, said:
“We are delighted to sponsor Charlton Athletic Community Trust through the Co-op membership and we are really looking forward to making a difference in our community.”
