Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is taking applications for a number of traineeship posts in Maidstone aimed at young people who are not in education, employment or training.
The 12-week traineeships, which get underway on Monday 27 November, combine classroom-based learning with work experience. Part of the scheme involves delivering coaching sessions in the local area alongside fully qualified CACT football coaches.
Topics covered as part of the programme will include employability skills, equality and diversity, health and safety, maths and English, and various sport-specific topics.
Those who complete the traineeship will gain the FA Level 1 in Coaching Football, a recognised coaching qualification.
Sean Daly, CACT’s Head of Football and Sports Development, said:
“This is a great opportunity to gain football coaching experience while also developing other skills getting used to working in an office environment as part of a professional club’s community trust.
“Time is running out to apply, so I’d encourage anyone with an interest to get in touch.”
