Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) hosted its inaugural Charity Golf Day at the picturesque Redlibbets Golf Course in Kent on Friday, July 29th.
Hosted by Charlton Athletic legend Bob Bolder, 40 golfers took to the course, including sponsors, patrons and partners of CACT, for a two best-ball stableford competition.
Included in the mix were CACT sponsors ITRM, patrons Hadlow College, Whitecode Design, and Regular Cleaning as well as Riverdale Contract Hire & Leasing and the Charlton Athletic Supporters Trust.
The ever-challenging course tested the field, with players being rewarded for their accuracy and patience by staying on the fairways and greens. It was Regular Cleaning who adapted to the course best, coming out as eventual winners.
There was also a closest to the pin and longest drive competition winning an exciting Land Yachting experience for the 14th hole longest drive (sponsored by ITRM) and a bottle of Champagne with some new golf balls, glove and tees for the closest to the pin on the 17th (sponsored by Regular Cleaning).
Matt Parish, CACT’s Chief Operating Officer said:
“We’re really grateful for the support shown to us by sponsors, patrons and partners for our first charity golf day.
“Everyone seemed to really enjoy the day whilst helping raise funds for our work in the community.
“We appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to running more of these in the future”.
An online auction has been set up post the event for sponsors and supporters who were unable to attend the golf day, giving them an opportunity to still support the work of CACT.

There are also shirts signed by twice-player of the year Jordan Cousins, Premier League new boy Nick Pope and England U19 starlet Ademola Lookman.
Finally, there is a GLL gym membership worth £500 courtesy of our partners Better.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust would like to thank all for attending, especially Whitecode Design, Regular Cleaning, ITRM and Paul and Sally Statham for sponsoring holes.
