Academy graduate Tyreece Campbell will earn his full league debut for the Addicks in today's game at Shrewsbury Town.
Should the Addicks continue in the 4-4-2 formation deployed against Portsmouth, Mandela Egbo, Ryan Inniss, Eoghan O’Connell and Steven Sessegnon will line up in a back four ahead of Joe Wollacott.
Jes Rak-Sakyi and Campbell are expected to operate either side of midfield duo Scott Fraser and George Dobson, behind a potential front two of Jayden Stockley and Kirk.
Elsewhere, Terell Thomas returns to the matchday 18 and he is joined on the bench by Craig MacGillivray, Sean Clare, Albie Morgan, Conor McGrandles, Jack Payne and Chuks Aneke.
The 19-year-old winger comes in for Corey Blackett-Taylor, who misses out with a minor niggle, while Terell Thomas returns to the matchday 18.
