Nathan Jones has named his starting XI for the Addicks’ Sky Bet League One season-opener at Wigan Athletic (KO 5.30pm BST).
The gaffer has selected the same team that ran out 2-0 victors against Championship side Portsmouth in Chartlton’s final pre-season friendly last weekend.
Summer signings Will Mannion, Alex Mitchell, Greg Docherty, Josh Edwards and Gassan Ahadme will all make their full debuts at the Brick Community Stadium, while fellow summer signing Luke Berry is named amongst the substitutes.
Today's clash can be streamed live outside of the UK and Ireland on CharltonTV for just £10. Click here to purchase your streaming pass.
Charlton are expected to line-up in the same 3-5-2 shape, with Alex Mitchell, Lloyd Jones and Macaulay Gillesphey forming the back three in front of goalkeeper Mannion.
Kayne Ramsay and Edwards will operate as wing-backs, while captain Docherty is joined by Conor Coventry and Karoy Anderson in midfield.
Ahadme and Tyreece Campbell, who both scored against Portsmouth last weekend, continue up front.
Berry is joined on the bench by Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Tennai Watson, Thierry Small, Chuks Aneke and Daniel Kanu.
Meanwhile, Jones has opted not to risk striker Matty Godden. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the boss said: “With Matty, just a bit of stiffness. He had a head injury but that wasn’t the thing that kept him out. He just had a little bit of stiffness, so we just have to be careful with that. Plus, first game of the season and we’ve got six or seven strikers here. We’ve got real competition in that department, so we don’t risk anyone. We want to get him back as soon as possible because he’s one of our summer signings.”
