It means the Addicks may line-up in 3-5-2 with Lloyd Jones joining Alex Mitchell and Macaulay Gillesphey in a back three in front of Ashley Maynard-Brewer.
Josh Edwards is also starting, so may play as a wing-back or as a left-back in a back four. Docherty and Anderson join Terry Taylor in midfield as Conor Coventry misses out through muscle tightness, while Kanu, who netted on Tuesday, joins Gassan Ahadme up front.
Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Josh Laqeretabua, Thierry Small, Allan Campbell, Luke Berry, Matty Godden and Miles Leaburn make up the substitutes bench.
