TEAM NEWS | One change for FA Cup clash

Close up on FA Cup shirt

Terry Taylor returns to the starting line-up for this afternoon’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Walsall as Nathan Jones makes one change to the side that beat Burton Albion in midweek.

The midfielder replaces Miles Leaburn, while Dan Potts and Daniel Kanu are named amongst the substitutes bench following respective injuries.

The club are unable to live stream today’s tie due to FA broadcast rules, meaning audio commentary is the best way to follow all of the action on CharltonTV if you are not at the Poundland Bescot Stadium. Click here to purchase your subscription.

The starting line-up would suggest that the Addicks start in either the 4-diamond-2 formation utilised on Tuesday, or the 4-box-2 formation that has been used a number of times this season.

It means Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Alex Mitchell, Macaulay Gillesphey and Josh Edwards will start in a back four in front of Ashley Maynard-Brewer.

Taylor will join Conor Coventry, Karoy Anderson and Luke Berry in a midfield four behind Gassan Ahadme and skipper Matty Godden.

Potts and Kanu are joined on the bench by Tommy Reid, Josh Laqeretabua, Tayo Edun, Thierry Small, Allan Campbell, Tyreece Campbell and Danny Hylton.

Charlton: Maynard-Brewer; Edmonds-Green, A.Mitchell, Gillesphey, Edwards; Taylor, Coventry, Anderson, Berry; Ahadme, Godden (c)

Subs: Reid, Potts, Laqeretabua, Edun, Small, A.Campbell, T.Campbell, Hylton, Kanu
