Terell Thomas will make his full Charlton league debut in today’s game against Ipswich Town.
The academy graduate, who rejoined the Addicks in the summer, will start in place of the suspended Ryan Inniss. Steven Sessegnon also returns to the Charlton starting line-up having been rested in midweek.
It means if the Addicks start in a 4-4-2 then Thomas and Sessegnon will join Eoghan O’Connell in a back four alongside either Sean Clare or Mandela Egbo in front of goalkeeper Joe Wollacott.
Scott Fraser starts against his former club alongside George Dobson in midfield, with Charlie Kirk likely to operate from the wing not operated by Clare or Egbo.
Jes Rak-Sakyi may partner Jayden Stockley up front.
The versatility of the Charlton players could mean the Addicks line-up in a 4-3-3, 3-5-2 or 3-4-3.
There is also a return to the bench for Corey Blackett-Taylor after missing two games through injury.
He is joined by Craig MacGillivray, Sam Lavelle, Conor McGrandles, Albie Morgan, Jack Payne and Chuks Aneke.
