Head Coach Karen Hills provided her full-time thoughts after the Addicks fell to defeat against table toppers Bristol City, goals either side of halftime courtesy of Shania Hayles and Ffion Morgan wrapped up the points for the visitors:

“Obviously we are disappointed to concede in the way that we did in the first half, but then I thought after we composed ourselves, we were then able to defend really well."

“I thought they were a very good side and probably deserved it more than us today because I thought they were better in the areas that we need to be better in,"

Hills was quick to praise her shot-stopper, Sian Rogers, after the 24-year-old put on an impressive display between the sticks:

“Sian had a very good game. I thought some of the saves she pulled off, she pulled off three absolutely outstanding saves before the corner. Sian did everything she possibly could, but at the end of the day, it’s a team performance.”

The Addicks’ next league outing sees them take a trip to Maiden Castle for a league meeting with Durham Hills shared her thoughts on the opposition and her side’s togetherness: “We know Durham is going to be a tough side. It’s going to be a long trip, but the group needs to stick together.”

“We’re going to work hard as what we did last week if not more. We’re a team and we win, we lose, and we draw together.”

Charlton's next home league fixture at The Oakwood will take place on Sunday, November 27th  (KO 2 PM) where the Addicks will once again welcome Bristol City, this time for Continental Cup duty. Click here to secure your ticket.
