Academy goalkeeper Tommy Reid has signed a new contract with the club.
Reid, who joined the Addicks’ academy ranks in September 2024, has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer of 2026.
The England youth international has impressed for Chris Lock’s U21s this term as well as training regularly with Nathan Jones’ first-team squad.
“I’m buzzing to sign a contract extension,” Reid said. “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club so far. The lads and all of the staff have made me feel very welcome since joining.
“I feel like each day I’ve been improving and I’m being pushed to the best of my ability by both Hendo [Stephen Henderson] and Vic [Bettinelli], who I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with. I’m looking forward to carrying on working hard to see what my future holds at the club.”
U21s Lead Coach Chris Lock added: “Tommy has been a good addition to the group since joining us after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion. He has shown he has a lot of potential and has been in and around the first-team this season on a number of occasions on both training and matchdays.
“We are in a lucky position now in having two young prospects in the U21s in Lennon [MacLorg] and Tommy, who can push each other while also trying to develop and push the first-team lads and in the not-so-distant future hopefully give the first-team staff something to think about. We are delighted to have Tommy with us.”
